
Victoria: Representative Karma Singey from Tibet Information Office visited Tibetan Weekend Schools in Victoria State, Australia, on 3 May 2024.
The Representative visit aimed to educate and inspire 57 students from the state of Victoria as well as 20 students from Southeast Victoria. Additionally, the visit sought to encourage the preservation of the Tibetan language, culture, religion, and moral values among Tibetan children residing in both Victoria State and Southeast Victoria.
The representative met with students, teachers, and parents during his visit. He urged parents to instill Tibetan values in their children and take an individual role in ensuring that their children are raised with the richness and diversity of distinct Tibetan culture and ethical values.
During his address, the representative expressed his deep appreciation for the school principals and teachers. He acknowledged and praised their significant efforts and the crucial role they play in imparting the Tibetan language and culture to the younger generation.
The Victoria Tibetan Association Director of Culture, Dorje Namgyal, accompanied the Representative along with Chairman Samdup.
