Taiwan: The Ministry of Culture of Taiwan organised a two-day seminar on the history and preservation of Tibetan and Mongolian culture on 31 October. The event titled ‘Cultural Youth Volunteer Training Camp’ was organised through the Ministry’s Mongolian and Tibetan Cultural Center.
The seminar aims to promote Mongolian and Tibetan cultures, enhance cultural exchanges among Taiwan and Mongolian and Tibetan students and encourage grassroots preservation of the cultures.
Representative Dawa Tsering of Office of Tibet, Taiwan was invited to speak on Tibet and the prevailing situation inside Tibet.
Students from different colleges and universities in Taiwan participated in the seminar.
Later that day, Representative Tsering also spoke at another event ‘Share and Pray, Open Communion’ organised by the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. The communion was dedicated to the people of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, East Turkesten who are suffering persecution at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.
Representative thanked the Taiwan Christian communities and leaders for supporting the human rights campaigns for Tibet and Taiwan organised throughout the years.
