DHARAMSHALA: Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Kalon of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, returned to Dharamshala yesterday from an official visit to the northeastern part of India from 19 – 27 April.
During the official trip, he visited 35 Tibetan Buddhist monasteries based in Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Gangtok and Ravangla. He met monks, Buddhist teachers and administrators of these monasteries and also visited Tibetan schools in these areas and met the Tibetan public for informal interactions.
During the visit, he inaugurated the new community hall of Gangtok Tibetan settlement office as well as the girl’s hostel of Yanggang Yungdrung monastery school in Ravangla.
