Dharamshala: The
Tibetan welfare officer based in New Delhi has been sent to take stock
of the situation as a major fire incident occurred at a Tibetan market
in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Mr Ngodup Dorjee, acting secretary of
the Department of Home, told Tibetnet on Wednesday.Sixteen Tibetan shops were completely damaged in the fire incident in Banswara in the wee hours of 10 November. The cause of the incident is not yet ascertained. The loss of property is estimated to be around 30 – 40 Lakhs.It
has been only one-week since the Tibetans have started their business
at Banswara, which is 4 hours from the historic Udaipur city.
