Dharamshala: The Public Service Commission has successfully wrapped up its Induction Training for the 21 newly recruited staff of the Central Tibetan Administration on Saturday.
The training was imparted to the staff who were recruited in the years 2020 and 2021. It was the first post covid training of the Public Service Commission which had to be postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
The closing of the 13-day long Induction Training held at the College of Higher Tibetan Studies was attended by the Chairman of the Public Service Commission Mr. Wangdu Tsering Pesur, the Dean of the College Ven. Geshe Samten Gyatso, Principal Mr. Passang Tsering. And, senior Professors like Mr. Sonam Gyaltsen, Mr. Tsangtru Topla, Ven. Geshe Tsultrim Palden, Ven. Geshe Ngawang Namdol and Ven. Geshe Dhamchoe who took the training classes.
As a part of the successful winding up of the training, the trainees did a group presentation on some of the selected topics they have learned during the training course. Certificates of participation were distributed to them by the Chairman of the PSC.
The training sessions mostly covered Tibetan letter writing Tibetan Grammar and Tibetan history which are most relevant in the daily functions of the CTA. Other topics included are Noting and Filing System, Leadership and Communication Skills Development, Introduction to Charter of the Tibetan People in Exile, Introduction to Rules and Regulation and Benefits of the CTA staff, The Middle Way Policy of the CTA, Gender Studies and Basic Introduction of the Buddha Dharma. Besides, meditation practice, screening of documentaries, and debate and discussion were also covered as pre and post-class activities.
Mr. Wangdu Tsering lauded the brilliant PowerPoint presentations by the participants. He reiterated them the importance of the excellent command over the Tibetan language at the service and counseled them to be prepared to take up any placement in the future.
