Norway’s Prime Minister, Mr. Kjell Magne Bondevik, walking with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Prime Minister is followed by his office’s Director-General, Mrs. Bente Angell-Hansen, and His Holiness is followed by his Northern Europe Representative, Mrs. Kesang Y. Takla. The two leaders met at the Prime Minister’s Office in Oslo on 15 June. His Holiness thanked the Prime Minister for all the support that the government and people of Norway have extended to the Tibetan people. The Prime Minister said His Holiness was always welcome to Norway and expressed his appreciation for the Tibetan Nobel Laureate’s efforts not only in pursuing the non-violent Middle Way Approach to resolve the Tibet issue but also for his work in promoting inter-faith dialogue and religious harmony in the world.
