A five-day photo exhibition on His Holiness the Dalai Lama would open
on coming Thursday, 10 December, at the Tibet Museum in Dharamsala, to
commemorate the 20th anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel peace
prize on His Holiness, an official of the Tibet Museum told tibet.net.On
10 December 1989, His Holiness the Dalai Lama was awarded the
prestigious Nobel prize for peace for his nonviolent and peaceful
struggle for the just cause of Tibet.Visitors can also attend
to a talk on ‘Climate Change and its impact on the Tibetan Plateau’ on
11 December at 2:30 pm (local time) at the Tibet Museum.Established
in 1998, the Tibet Museum serves as a remembrance of the loss of
Tibetan culture and lives, to showcase photographs and life histories
of Tibetans and to present the hopes and aspirations of the Tibetan
people.
