
DHARAMSHALA: More than 62 Tibetan students from 9 different schools across India are participating in the 3rd Tibetan schools philosophical debate on Tibetan Buddhist dialectics. The dialectic debate is organised by the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration, in an effort to boost understanding of traditional Tibetan wisdom among Tibetan school students.
The 3rd philosophical debate on Tibetan Buddhist dialectics is currently under way at the Tibetan Children’s Village school in Bylakuppe, South India.
The inaugural ceremony of the dialectic debate session was held yesterday. It was attended by Education Secretary Ngodup Tsering, the settlement officers of Lugsum Samdupling and Dicky Larsoe Tibetan settlements and the heads of the various Tibetan schools.
The first and second philosophical debate on Buddhist dialectics were held at Sambhota school in Chauntra and TCV Selakui at Dehradun respectively.
