
Paonta: As part of the ongoing celebrations marking the 90th birthday of Dalai Lama, the Paonta Cholsum Regional Ghoton Organising Committee organised a three-day awareness programmes on Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) Learning and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s Four Principal Commitments at various Indian schools from 13 to 15 May 2026.
Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha, translator of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, was invited along with The Tibet Museum to deliver talks and presentations on SEE Learning and the Four Principal Commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Tibet Museum also organised pictorial exhibitions highlighting the life and contributions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
On the first day, 13 May 2026, Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha delivered talks on SEE Learning and His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Four Principal Commitments to teachers and students at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Paonta Sahib, and Vidyapeeth Senior Secondary School, Bhuppur. The Tibet Museum presented photo exhibitions on the life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
On the second day, 14 May 2026, Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha delivered talks on SEE Learning and His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Four Principal Commitments to staff and students at Hill View Public School, Majra, and Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Taruwala. The Tibet Museum also presented photo exhibitions highlighting the biography and contributions of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
On the third day, 15 May 2026, Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha delivered talks on SEE Learning and the Four Principal Commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to teachers and students at Guru Nanak Mission Public School, Shubhkhera, and Rising Star Public School, Shyampur. In addition to the Tibet Museum’s photo exhibition on the life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Men-Tsee-Khang branch at Paonta Cholsum provided free medical check-ups and distributed medicines to school teachers and staff.
Throughout the three-day programme, around 3,500 students and more than 100 teachers benefited from the awareness sessions conducted through talks by Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha and photo exhibitions presented by the Tibet Museum. During the sessions, Dr Kailash Chandra Bauddha also responded to questions from students and provided detailed explanations on the topics discussed.
Upon the conclusion of the three-day programme, Paonta Cholsum Tibetan Settlement Officer Gelek Jamyang presented commemorative gifts to school principals and administrators as a token of appreciation.
