Panel Discussion on the twin adoption of Bandara Norgayling and Hunsur Rabgyaling Tibetan Settlement by the Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey (TCNYNJ) under the ‘Sister City’ Project of the Department of Home. The Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey becomes the first Tibetan community abroad to adopt Tibetan settlements in India under the town adoption project known as ‘Sister City’ project of the 14th Kashag. In this video, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay sends a congratulatory message to the Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey followed a panel discussion with Mr. Khorlatsang Sonam Topgyal, Secretary of the CTA’s Department of Home and Mr. Kunga Thinley, President of TCNYNJ. Considered as an innovative move, the present Kashag intends to build unity amongst Tibetans all over the world by helping each other and create a self-reliant Tibetan diaspora through this project.
