DHARAMSHALA: The Solidarity with Tibet campaign called by Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay on Wednesday to draw the international community’s attention to the deteriorating human rights situation in Tibet is getting good response, with 1,299 supporters having registered with Thunderclap. Thunderclap is a social networking tool which allows a single message to be mass-shared. It will reach at least 474,375 people on December 10th (IST), International Human Rights day, with a message of solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet.
As of December 9th, the video on self-immolations has also been viewed 17,000 times within days of its launch.
Sikyong had appealed to friends and members of the international community to stand in solidarity with Tibet by taking the following actions:
