
Dharamshala: In a condolence letter to the bereaved wife of the late Dr Manmohan Singh, Officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra, the Kalon (Minister) of the Department of Education, expressed her profound sadness upon learning of the demise of the former Indian Prime Minister, on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan people.
The Officiating Sikyong wrote, “Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji’s legacy as Prime Minister of India will forever be remembered as one that exemplified the finest ideals of Indian civilisation. His visionary approach to advancing India’s prosperity and his steadfast commitment to the principles of democracy, pluralism, and compassion truly embodied what makes India a beacon of harmony and co-existence in our world today.”
While reflecting on the late Prime Minister’s deep respect for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and his unwavering support for the Tibetan people, the Officiating Sikyong remarked, “His kindness and commitment to our cause will always be remembered with profound gratitude.”
