DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama has graciously assented to confer Kalachakra Initiation at Bodhgaya at the earnest request of the Central Tibetan Administration. The 34th Kalachakra Initiation is scheduled to commence on 14 January 2016 and will conclude on 25 January 2016.

The Kashag of CTA has assigned the task of organising the event to the Department of Religion and Culture (DoRC). Accordingly, the DoRC has constituted the Kalachakra – 2016 Organsing Committee. Kalon of DoRC is the Chairperson. Kalon of the Department of Security (DOS), the Representative of the Gaden Phodrang and Rev. Abbot of Namgyal Monastery are the vice-Chairpersons. Other members of the organising committee include Secretary of BTMC, Bodhgaya, Secretary and Additional Secretary of DoRC, Secretary of Finance department, and the Secretary of Security department. The organising committee has already commenced the preparatory activities for the Kalackahra initiation.
