
Washington D.C: The Office of Tibet, Washington led by Representative Ngodup Tsering, Chinese Liaison Tsultrim Gyatso, and Special Assistant Kelsang Dolma participated in the 14th Interethnic Conference held yesterday in D.C.
Representative Tsering was one of the speakers for the event, and he expressed admiration for the strong solidarity among those negatively harmed by the CCP, such as the Hong Kong protesters, Uyghurs, Kazaks, Southern Mongolians, Christians, Chinese dissidents, Taiwanese, and Tibetans. He stated that Tibet has been fighting with China for over 60 years, and the fight is still continuing. He emphasised that the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has adhered to and advocated the middle way policy to resolve the Tibet-China problem. He congratulated the Organisers of the 14th Interethnic/Interfaith Conference, which got started with blessings and guidance from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Other speakers included Jim McGovern, the Congressional-Executive Commission on China co-Chair, Dr. Yang Jianli, the President of Citizen Power Initiatives for China, and Congressman Chris Smith.
Chairman McGovern presented the 2019 Citizen Power Award to the Hong Kong’s Civil Human Rights Front (CHRF).
