The meeting kicked off with the adoption of the agenda and the recap of the Minutes of the last two Presidencies. Other points for discussion were the activity Report, potential UNPO Forums, financial report and progress and introduction of new members joining the organization. The Presidency also discussed the organisation’s structure as well as the challenges faced by UNPO members in the current international political arena.
Ms Genkhang thanked UNPO for their extraordinary work on the Tibetan issue and urged them to do more. She put forward a few concrete suggestions that are to be discussed more in detail with the Secretary General at a later date.
The Presidency decided to hold the next General Assembly (in-person or remotely) sometime in early 2021 and the venue was still under consideration.
