No Evidence to Support Leakage of Question Papers, Says Committee Report
Dharamshala, 5 August 2005– The Tibetan Public Service Commission (PSC) is all set to put an end to the public speculations on the fate of the 112 candidates who appeared in the examination for the top fifth post of Tibetan civil service last June.
In an announcement yet to be made public, the PSC reveals that the fact-finding committee found no credible evidence to prove any leakage of question papers of the exams for Under Secretary’s post.
The committee was formed by the Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies and the Kashag at the request of the PSC after one Tibetan newspaper reported possible leakage of question papers.
The findings of the committee are based on a 16-day long intensive investigation, during which it interviewed 95 people, including individual candidates, staff related to the conduct of exam and the media.
The results of the oral and written examination conducted on 11 and 13 June for the post of Under Secretary will be declared as per set procedures.
However, according to the announcement, the PSC will follow all the 11 suggestions put up by the committee with regard to the conduct of exams and enforce a greater degree of vigilance in all future exams.
