New Commissioner of the Supreme Justice Commission takes Oath

Dharamshala: As per Section 6 (63)(A) of the Charter of Tibetans in exile, Ngawang Phelgyal, the new justice commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission, took oath of office before His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his residence this morning.

The official ceremony of the appointment of new justice commissioner was held at the Kashag hall after the oath-taking ceremony.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama appointed Ngawang Phelgyal as one of the two commissioners in the Supreme Justice Commission and the Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies approved his appointment during its 10th session.
Ngawang Phelgyal served as the General Secretary of the Tibetan Homes’ Foundation, Mussoorie, for nearly two years.
