Handing over of charge between outgoing Representative Kasur Ngodup Tsering and the incoming Representative Dr. Namgyal Choedup in the presence of Representative for Latin America Jigme Tsering
Washington DC: As per the appointment circular issued by the Kashag Secretariat dated 19 November, Mr Namgyal Choedup formally took charge as the new Representative of Washington’s Office of Tibet from outgoing Representative Kasur Ngodup Tsering during a brief ceremony held at the office on Thursday, 2 December.
The handing over ceremony took place in the presence of Representative for Latin America Jigme Tsering, who was appointed to oversee the handing and taking over of the office.
As per Kashag’s directive, the process of Handing over began on Wednesday,1 December and it was attended by all the staff members. In addition, the President of the Capital Area Tibetan Association (CATA), Mr Tenzing Barshee, also attended the official farewell dinner.
Tomorrow, the Capital Area Tibetan Association will formally host a ceremony to welcome the new Representative and offer gratitude to outgoing Representative Kasur Ngodup Tsering. Latin America Representative Jigme Tsering will also join the gathering.
