Moscow-based Tibet Culture & Information Center (Office of Tibet) Save Tibet Foundation, Moscow Tibetan Association and Drepung Gomang Fund organized a long-life prayer for His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Today’s occasion is special in many ways. This occasion of the Nobel Peace Prize is celebrated not only by the Tibetans in exile, but it is a special occasion for all people who fight for freedom, peace, liberty, human rights, and justice,” said Telo Tulku Rinpoche, Honorary representative of H.H.the Dalai Lama to Russia, Mongolia, and CIS countries. “I also would like to congratulate this year’s noble peace awardee Mr. Dmitry Muratov who hails from Russia and was recognized for his struggle for his efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace. We are proud to have such leaders like H.H. the Dalai Lama and other Nobel Peace laureates from Russia.”
The Center of Tibetan Health of Moscow hosted the event in their prayer hall with Buddhists of Moscow making a “Tsog” offering followed by Mandala offering and recitation of various mantras dedicated to the long life of H.H. the Dalai Lama. All the attendees offered Khata (White Scarf) to the throne of H.H. and the event ended in a very celebratory atmosphere as it has been a long time since such an event was held due to the pandemic and all very happy to see each other in person, pray together and remember H.H. interaction with the Buddhist of Russia.
