Dharamshala (TibetNet): At a Bharat-Tibet Sahayog Manch meeting held in Nagpur on 16 February Dr. Ngawang Rabgyal, additional secretary of the Department of Information and International Relations, spoke on the Middle-Way-Approach of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in resolving the issue of Tibet peacefully and his vision for future Tibet.
The main function of the meeting was to release a book Buddhacha Tisra Dola: Third Eye of the Buddha, written by Mr. Pramod Wadnerkar, who had experience of visiting Tibet. The book was published in Hindi and Marathi.
Mr. Wadnerkar spoke about his experiences and observations in Tibet, which was followed by Marathi writer Dr. D. B. Kulkorni’s commentary note. He lauded the efforts of Mr. Wadnerkar and said that the book will serve as a research novel carrying the true insights about Tibet, its ageless culture and its belief in spirituality.
About 350-400 Indians attended the meeting. In a keynote address of the chief guest Dr. Bhagwati and presidential address of Mr. Vaidya, both supported autonomy for Tibet. India could not remain silent spectator to Tibet’s plight, Dr. Bhagwati said.
