BRUSSELS,Belgium: The Bureau du Tibet jointly with the Belgium Tibetan Community, RTYC and Chushi Gangdruk organized a day-long prayer and fast in Nalanda Buddhist Center, Brussels and Schoten temple in Antwerpen to mourn the recent tragic self-immolations of eight young Tibetans inside Tibet and to stand in solidarity with the others undergoing tremendous suffering under occupation.
Venerable Lama Karta of Nalanda Buddhist Center, presided the prayer service which was well attended despite falling amidst a week day. Many Tibetans from other nearby regions of Brussels commuted to the capital to attend the prayers while those living in Antwerpen and proximity went to Schoten temple.
