Washington D.C: Representative of Office of Tibet, Ngodup Tsering attended as the 12th anniversary of the conferment of the US Congressional Gold Medal to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 20 October.
Special guests include former President George H.W. Bush’s cousin Elsie Walker and her husband Al Kilbourne, former Kalon Tenzin Namgyal Tethong and Shingsa Rinpoche. Around a hundred members of the Tibetan Community gathered for the celebration.
After a brief introductory remark by President of Capital Area Tibetan Association(CATA) Tenzin Dolkar Gorap, Representative Ngodup Tsering and other guests also addressed the ceremony.
The chief guest Representative Ngodup Tsering launched a book called ‘Resistance and Unity’ by Dorjee Damdul a member of the Tibetan community Washington D.C.
The Representative talked about how the Congressional Gold Medal was introduced at first and the value that it holds.
