DHARAMSHALA: In compliance with the Basic Education Policy of the Department of Education, a three-day meeting has begun this morning to formalise science textbook for class three in the Tibetan language. The meeting will conclude on 18 November.

The meeting is chaired by Mr. Tsering Samdup, head of the academic section of the Education Department. Others taking part in the meeting include Mr. Dhondup Gyalpo, headmaster of TCV, Mr. Nyima Tsering from Suja TCV, Mr. Penpa Topgyal from STS Manali and Mr. Phurbu Dhondup from THF Mussoorie. Officials from the education department include Deputy Secretary Mr. Sonam Sangpo, Passang Chokpa, Mr. Budha Kyab and Mr. Trinley Wangdue.

The three-day will deliberate and review the draft of the class three science textbook. Once the third grade textbook is formalised, similar meetings will be held to formalise the textbooks for class 4 and 5.
