MAINPAT: As part of the Central Tibetan Administration’s COP21 campaign for ‘Tibet – Climate Action on the roof of the world’, the Tibetan settlement office of Phendeling in Mainpat, held talks and a drawing competition on the theme of Tibetan environment at its school on 27 and 28 November. Students from class 1 to 5 took part in the program.

The students were informed about the importance of Tibet’s environment to the world and the rapid environmental degradation taking place inside Tibet under the Chinese government’s policies. A power point presentation prepared by CTA’s Environment and Development Desk on Tibet’s environment was also shown to the students.

Students whose drawings were selected as the winners were awarded during the morning assembly.
