Dharamshala: On 14 March 2007, a special organising committee will present a Tenshug offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on behalf of Tibetans in and outside Tibet and religious traditional section.
The special committee was formed after a resolution was passed during the second session of the 14th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPIE).
The speaker of the TPIE Mr Karma Choephel and the secretary of the Department of Religion Mr Tsering Dhondup are the chairman and secretary of this committee.
Members of this committee include Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche, Ms Gyari Dolma, the deputy speaker of the TPIE, Kalon Tsering Phuntsok, Kalon for the Department of Religion and Culture.
The retired civil servants of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) will offer a grand Tenshug (long-life offering) to His Holiness the Dalai Lama this March.
The offering ceremony will be held here at Dharamshala, after the conclusion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s annual spring teachings from 3 to 13 March.
