
DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan Parliamentary secretariat has announced the resignation of Kirti Dolkar Lhamo as a member of the 15th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.
“In her resignation letter submitted to the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament, she has cited personal reasons for resigning from her role as a member of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile,” the Tibetan parliament said in its statement.
“She has further expressed her best wishes to the Tibetan Parliament in their future endeavours, urging them to continue their hard work and dedication to resolve the issue of Tibet for the reunification of Tibetans inside and outside Tibet,” it said.
Kirti Dolkar Lhamo is a member of the 15th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Domey region. She was first elected to the Tibetan Parliament in 1991. Since then, she was elected as a member of the Tibetan Parliament in five consecutive elections, serving more than 20 years in the Tibetan Parliament.
