Sataun: As part of the Ghoton Programme to mark His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama’s Birthday as the Year Of Compassion, Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement hosted a Documentary film titled Seven Years in Tibet (1956), directed by Hans Nieter, about the adventures of Heinrich Harrer in Tibet on 9 February, 2026.

Settlement Officer, Ugen Choedon Oshoe, began the event with a description of the film and the importance of celebrating the Year of Compassion.

The film started at 03:00 pm at the Kham Kathok Society hall and was shown via the clinic’s Projector to the general public of Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement. The audience comprised those who had yet to watch this documentary to date.

During the break, tea and patties were distributed to the audience.
