Your Excellency,
On behalf of my colleagues in the Kashag, please allow me to offer our congratulations to Your Excellency for your election to the post of the President of the Indian Union.
Your Excellency’s elevation to the highest post of this great nation is a measure of the maturity of Indian democracy and a true reflection of the greatness of India.
We believe that Your Excellency will be able to guide the people of India onto the path of peace and greater prosperity and give wise counsel to the government of India.
Your Excellency, I take this opportunity to express the heart-felt appreciation and gratitude of every Tibetan refugee for the hospitality provided by the government and people of India to the Tibetan exile community for more than forty years and for the generosity of the people of India.
Your Excellency, the Tibetan community in India and elsewhere join me in praying for the success of your tenure as you shoulder the immense responsibility of guiding the destiny of the world’s second populous nation.
