
Dharamsala: In what has been unprecedented in the 62 years of exile Tibetan governance, the total consolidated fund of the CTA has almost doubled in the last ten years, which leapt from 2,073.49 million rupees in 2011 to 4,079.72 million in December 2020.
The consolidated fund of the CTA in year 2011 was 2073.49 million rupees, while the additional 2,006.23 million was made in the last 10 years.
CTA now has cash reserve of approximately 4079.72 million rupees, which not only augurs well for the financial security of the CTA but for its sustenance and stability.
The annual budgeted expenditure of CTA has increased more than double in the last 10 years from 1,033.11 million rupees in year 2011 to 2,714.79 million in year 2020.
The budget proposed for the fiscal year 2021-22 has a total outlay of 2,699.02 million rupees, of which political campaigning has maximum allocation of 637.78 million rupees, followed by education with 602.33 million rupees.
Similarly, 591.02 million rupees was allotted for administrative expenses, 506.99 million rupees for welfare services.
Health has been allocated 235.41 million rupees, 62.21 million for legislature purposes, and 60.57 million rupees is appropriated for the preservation and promotion of religion and culture.
