Kashag Congratulates Kasur Jetsun Pema

Dharamshala: On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), the Kashag extended congratulation to Kasur Jetsun Pema, president of the Tibetan Children’s Village and former Kalon of the CTA, for being awarded the World Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child (WCPRC).
In the congratulatory letter to Kasur Jetsun Pema, the Kashag conveyed felicitation to her for winning the World Children’s Prize for her enthusiasm and dedication in assuming all the responsibilities of thousands of the Tibetan refugee children for over 40 years.
The Kashag called on Kasur Jetsun Pema, younger sister to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to keep up the good work and to continue to shoulder the responsibilities of the ‘Gangchen Amala’ (mother of Tibet).
Kasur Jetsun Pema was awarded the World’s Children’s Honorary Award on 20 April 2006 at the Gripsholms Castle in Mariefred, Sweden.
