BANGALORE:  The home secretary of Karnataka state in southern India yesterday visited the Tibetan settlements in Bylakuppe.

Home Secretary S K Pattanayak was accorded a warm reception on his arrival at the Lugsam settlement office by the Tibetan officials, including Chief Representative, settlement officers, presidents and secretaries of Tibetan Cooperative Societies, and representatives of various monasteries.

Mr Pattanayak also visited Sera Lachi Monastery and Namdoling Monastery, also known as Golden Temple.

A luncheon reception was hosted by both the settlements in honour of the home secretary’s visit.
