DHARAMSHALA: The Kalons of the Central Tibetan Administration are visiting exiled and Diaspora Tibetan community based in different corners of the world on the joyous occasion of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 77th birthday.
The Kashag has decided to celebrate the occasion of His Holiness’s birthday in a special way by organising events to showcase the rich Tibetan cultural heritage and invite the local communities to participate.
Kalon Pema Chhinjor of the Department of Religion and Culture is visiting Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria from 2 July to 20 July. He will join the celebration of His Holiness’s birthday and meet with members of Swiss Parliament and Tibetan communities during his visits.
Kalon Dolma Gyari of the Department of Home is on a visit to Canada. She was scheduled to meet with members of the Tibetan Association of British Columbia and join the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday as the chief guest in Vancouver on 6 and 7 July respectively. She will then visit Calgary, Alberta, Montreal and Toronto to meet members of the Tibetan community and other important dignitaries from 8 – 15 July.
Kalon Ngodup Dongchung is visiting European countries of France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain from 5 – 15 July. He was scheduled to attend the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 77th birthday, meet members of the Tibetan community, members of French Parliament and Tibet Support Groups in Paris on 5 July. He will take part in similar events during his visit to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 6 July. He will then head for Belgium and Spain to join celebrations of His Holiness’s birthday, meet members of the Tibetan community and Tibet Support Groups from 7 – 14 July.
Kalon Dicki Chhoyang of the Department of Information & International Relations is on a visit to three Asian countries. She will join the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, meet with members of the Tibetan community, think tanks and Tibet Support Groups during her visits to Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
