Kalon Tripa Visits Tibetan Settlements in South and North-East India[Saturday, 19 June 2010, 3:49 p.m.]

Tripa Professor Samdhong Rinpoche is currently on a visit to Tibetan
settlements in north-eastern part of India from 16-23 June. The visit
would take Kalon Tripa to Tibetan settlements in Kalimpong, Darjeeling
and Gangtok. Kalon Tripa called for the Middle-Way Approach as
espoused by His Holiness the Dalai Lama for the Tibetan people’s
struggle for freedom on Friday in Gangtok.During his meeting
with the Tibetan community in Cholkhasum Hall at Nam-Nang in Gangtok,
Kalon Tripa told the Tibetan people to keep on their struggle for the
issue of Tibet and for the welfare of Tibetan people inside Tibet. The
Tibetan Welfare Officer, Mr Dhondup Dorjee and a large number of
Tibetans were present at the meeting.Earlier during his visit
to South India from 13-15 June, Kalon Tripa participated in the first
general meeting of Sera Jey Library of Sera Jey Monastery and delivered
talk in a workshop organised by Nyatri Library in Bylakupee, Karnataka
state of India.Kalon Tripa will return to Dharamsala on 25 June.
