Kalon Tripa to Visit Bhandara, New Delhi
Dharamsala 6 April 2005: The Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche will visit New Delhi and Norgayling Tibetan settlement, Bhandara, Maharashtra. Kalon Tripa will address a conference organised by the Institute of Objective Studies in New Delhi titled ‘inter civilisational dialogue in globalising world. Kalon Tripa will speak on “relevance and need of understanding the essence of religion traditions in the contemporary world”. He will also attend a meeting of the trustees of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Charitable trust in New Delhi.
During his visit to Norgayling settlement, the Kalon Tripa will interact with the Tibetan settlers and address them about the 12th Kashag’s policies. As planned out by the Kashag after its assumption of office, the Kalon Tripa has made efforts to visit as many Tibetan settlements and communities as possible but he was unable to visit Bhandara and a few other settlements which will be done soon.
This is the Kalon Tripa’s first visit to a Tibetan settlement after his taking over as Kalon for Department of Home.
