Kalon Tripa to chief guest first annual general meeting of TCC

Dharamshala: Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche will chief guest the first annual general meeting of the Tibetan Chamber of Commerce (TCC) to be held here on 23 November 2006. Some 50 members from India, Nepal, US and Russia are expected to attend the meeting.
Kalon Tripa will address the meeting and will also release “Chamber’s Member Business Directory”. The chairman Dorjee W Dewatshang will present annual report of the TCC for the year 2005-2006.
As requested, the Department of Finance, Central Tibetan Administration, will make a presentation on its initiative for Tibetan business community which will be followed by question-and-answer round.
The TCC was established by the Department of Finance during the first Tibetan business conference held in June 2005.
Since then it has carried out membership driven awareness campaign at three different places – Nepal, Delhi and Bylakuppe.
Tibetan Chamber of Commerce, the first association of Tibetan businessmen, has been registered under the name of ‘Welfare Society Tibetan Chamber of Commerce’ on 7 October 2005.
It was started to enhance and promote the business interest of its members and Tibetan business community as a whole.
