Kalon Tripa Leaves for Germany Tonight

Dharamshala: After addressing the ninth batch (of total 16) of Indian pilgrims to sacred Mount Kailash, and speaking on “Change: The Nature of Inter-Dependence”, at a ceremony marking the silver jubilee of the Asian Centre for Organisation, Research and Development, in New Delhi yesterday, Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche will leave for Germany today midnight.
He is expected to meet Minister President of Hesse, Ronald Koch, in Frankfurt, and Dr. Schwartz Schilling, the international mediator for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Marseilles, where he will also address a dharma centre, Lerab Ling, on “The Vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Legacy to the World” and “Principles of Non-Violence”, during the inaugural ceremony of the centre’s newly-built monastery.
In the next leg of his tour, the Kalon Tripa will visit Oslo, Norway, where he will meet with the officials of the Norwegian Government.
On his way back, in Chandigarh, the Kalon Tripa is expected to speak on “Globalisation and Cultural Identity”, at a ceremony marking the second death anniversary of a former Indian vice president, Shri Krishnakant, organized by the Servants of the People’s Society.
