DHARAMSHALA: At the invitation of President of State Cricket Association Mr Anurag Thakur, Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay yesterday attended the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab beat Chennai Super Kings played in Dharamsala.
Kalon Tripa was accompanied by his Kashag colleague, Mrs Dolma Gyari, Kalon for the Department of Home.
Mr Anurag Thakur, President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, is a Member of Indian Parliament and son of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal. Mr Anurag in the past invited His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who is currently on a visit to Europe, to grace the IPL matches held in Dharamsala.
The match was won by Kings XI Punjab.
Kings XI Punjab will take on Delhi Daredevils in Dharamsala on Saturday, 19 May at 4 pm.
The cricket stadium in Dharamsala, located at an altitude of 4,000 feet with the mighty snow-clad Dhauladhar range forming the backdrop, is considered one of world’s most picturesque stadium.
