
DHARAMSHALA: Kalon Tripa of the Central Tibetan Administration attended the official ceremony of the India’s 65th independence day celebrations at the police ground near Dharamsala in the Kangra district.
On behalf of the Tibetan people living in the state, Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay extended heartfelt greetings to Mr Jai Ram Thakur, minister of rural development and panchayati raj of Himachal Pradesh, who was the chief guest on the occasion.
The entire top officials of the Indian administration were present at the function.
Kalon Tripa, who was accompanied by Religion & Culture Kalon Pema Chhinjor and Health Kalon Dr Tsering Wangchuk, were honoured to draw lotteries organised by the Red Cross.
A special cultural performances, including lion dance by the artists of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, graced the occasion.
