Kalon Tripa Arrives for Weeklong Visit

Washington D.C: Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche arrived in Washington, D.C. on 5 February 2007 evening for a week-long visit.
During his stay he is meeting Congressional and Administration officials, having discussion with
scholars and meeting the Tibetan community.
Special Envoy Lodi Gyari,
Kasur Tashi Wangdi, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in North America, and Envoy Kelsang Gyaltsen are joining the Kalon
Tripa in these meetings.
U.S.-based officials of the Central Tibetan Administration will be
briefing the Kalon Tripa on developments in the region.
This is his first visit since his re-election as the Kalon Tripa in 2006.
