Bangalore: Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations-CTA was invited as the chief guest to address a seminar on Tibet, CTA and other matters to a gathering of more than 250 students and 50 staff of RV Institute of Legal Studies in Bangalore on Thursday, 18 May.
The seminar is co-organised by the Human Rights Cells of RV Institute of Legal Studies and the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society led by Shri Niranjan U.
Madabhushi Madan Gopal IAS (Retd.), former Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Forests, Environment and Ecology of Karnataka’s government and Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy KR RV, Principal of the law institute were among the distinguished guests present.
Following the seminar, Kalon Norzin Dolma led the CTA delegation and paid a courtesy call on Shri S.G. Manjunath, Nephew of lt.Nijalingappa and Secretary of Nijalingappa National Foundation along with Shri H.Hanumanthappa, Ex-MP and Secretary, Nijalingappa Memorial Trust, Chitradurga and Dr KS Reddy, Secretary, PWD, GoK.
Later in the evening at HSR Layout, Kalon and the CTA delegation had a meeting with Dr Madan Gopal Krishna, IAS retd. (Add. Chief Secretary), Environment and Forest, GoK and Sh.Kishan Singh Sugara, IFS retd. (Indian Forest Service), Chief Principal Conservator of Forest, GoK.
Kalon wrapped up a day-long engagement by paying a visit to the Tibetan youth hostel in Bangalore and extended gratitude to the staff and helpers for their untiring year-long services to the institution.
Kalon Norzin Dolma was accompanied by Jigme Tsultrim, Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of South Zone, Tashi Dikyi of India Tibet Coordination Office and other CRO staff members on this visit.
