
Dharamshala: On 27 February 2026, Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), CTA, held an hour-long meeting with a delegation from the Legislative Yuan, the Taipei City Council, and the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy at the department’s Lhakpa Tsering Hall in Gangchen Kyishong.
The delegation included Wu Pei-yi, Member of the Legislative Yuan and President of the Taiwan Parliamentary Group for Tibet; Fa Hui Shen, Member of the Legislative Yuan; Chen Chang Lee, Taipei City Councilor; Miao Po-ya, Taipei City Councilor; Tsuni Cheng, Vice President of the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy; and Lai Yu Shen, Interpreter and Local Program Manager at the International Republican Institute, Taiwan.
The discussion focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the major initiatives of the Central Tibetan Administration, as well as identifying commonalities in the democratic systems and governance of both Taiwan and the Tibetan exile community. The delegation also explored new avenues for cooperation and ways to strengthen the existing alliance and partnership.
Kalon Norzin Dolma was accompanied by DIIR Additional Secretary Namgyal Tsewang, Office of Tibet in Taiwan Secretary Mingyur Youdon, and DIIR Protocol Officer Tenzin Choeyang.
