Paris: Kalon Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations- CTA, had an hour-long breakfast meeting with the members of the All Tibet Group on Thursday morning at the French Senate.
The breakfast meeting was attended by All Tibet Group’s President (Senator) Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio and Senator Annick Billon, Senator Marie Mercier, Senator Samantha Cazebonne and Secretary Thierry Munier.
The Tibetan delegation led by Kalon and comprising Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang, Office of Tibet Brussels, Coordinator Thupten Tsering of the Bureau du Tibet and staff member Jigme were given a tour of the French Senate building which was guided by Secretary Munier. Thereafter, Kalon Norzin Dolma and the Tibetan delegation had an hour-long meeting with French government officials on Tibet matters.
Subsequently, Kalon had a meeting with Mr. Jean-Luc Romero, Deputy Mayor of Paris, where they discussed the Tibet cause. Furthermore, they also discussed about support for the Tibetan community in France, particularly the educational space for the weekend Tibetan school in Paris. It was then followed by an interview with France Radio International. The Kalon-led Tibet delegation also met with Mayor Francois Vauglin of Paris district 11 to urge for the continued support of Tibet and Tibetans.
In the evening, Kalon Norzin Dolma had a dinner meeting with Ambassador François Wu of Taiwan and his colleagues, as well as long-time Tibet friend and French journalist and author Mr.Pierre Antoine Donnet. Throughout her official engagements, Kalon was accompanied by Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang, Office of Tibet Brussels, Coordinator Thupten Tsering of the Bureau du Tibet and staff member Jigme.
Kalon departed from Paris on 15 December morning to Prague for further engagements, which will be followed by her journey back to India on the morning of 18 December.
