DHARAMSHALA: The World Hindu Foundation has invited the Tibetan political leader, Dr. Lobsang Sangay, to the World Hindu Congress, an international conference being organised in New Delhi from 21 – 23 Nov in New Delhi. Due to Sikyong’s visit to the US and Canada, the Kalon for the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration, Mr Ngodup Tsering, will attend the conference.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama and India’s top leadership, including ruling Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah, cabinet ministers Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman, will be attending the inaugural session of the World Hindu Congress. The conference is expected to bring together around 1,500 delegates from over countries. The conference, to be addressed by educationists and scientists, will see 45 sessions.
“The main idea behind the World Hindu Congress is to provide a global platform for the Hindu society to deliberate and formulate solutions to the myriad challenges being faced by Hindus throughout the world and to devise workable and tangible solutions that can be implemented,” the organisers said.
The world’s Hindu society is more than a billion in population, they said.
