
PARIS: Kalon Dolma Gyari, who is on her four-nation tour of Europe, arrived in Paris on 10 August to continue with the last leg of her Europe visit.
The home kalon earlier visited Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. She spoke to the Tibetan community and Tibetan supporters on the “Sister Settlement” project of the Department of Home of Central Tibetan Administration. The project is an integral part of Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay’s three cardinal principles of unity, innovation and self-reliance.
Speaking during her interaction with over 150 Tibetans gathered at the Rigpa Center in Paris yesterday, Kalon Dolma Gyari called on the Tibetans to contribute in the development of the Tibetan democracy and to sustain the exile Tibetan settlements by participating in the “Sister Settlement” programme.
“This is also a way that each of us can contribute to our struggle for freedom”, Kalon Dolma Gyari said.
Earlier, Kalon Dolma Gyari, accompanied by Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to EU, Mr. Ngodup Dorjee and Secretary of Bureau du Tibet in Paris, Mr. Tsering Dhondup, participated in a special prayer session organised by the Tibetan Community in France and Bureau du Tibet, Paris, marking the completion of the two years of the 14th Kashag under the leadership of Sikyong Lobsang Sangay.
