Dharamshala: The Department of Religion and Culture announces a call for applications for 8 slots to work with Wadhwani AI in New Delhi for a 6-month paid internship program. This initiative is part of the program launched by DoRC in November, ‘Strengthening Cultural Resilience of Tibetan Communities,’ with aim of providing IT skills training for the young Tibetans.
Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute dedicated to building and deploying applied AI solutions to address critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. They have over 30 AI projects supported by leading philanthropies such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, and Google.org. With a team of over 200 professionals, their expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design, and user research.

Requirements:
- Should have completed coursework in Probability, Linear Algebra, Calculus and preferably has some exposure to Machine Learning.
- Preferred to have demonstrated experience of working in the field via an internship or project.
- Prior exposure to Linux is expected before joining for the internship.
- Python Programming experience, hands-on experience with some of the Data Science toolkits like Numpy, etc. and preferably at least one Deep Learning Framework among Keras, TensorFlow, Pytorch etc.
- Engineering Intern: Gain hands-on experience in exciting projects and contribute to impactful solutions. Apply your knowledge, collaborate with industry professionals, and gain valuable skills while shaping the future.
Requirements:
