Iowa University Proposes Honorary Degree For His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Dharamshala: The
University of Northern Iowa plans this spring to present an honorary
doctor of humane letters to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His Holiness
will be at the university on 18 May this year to give a public talk on
‘The Power of Education’.

His Holiness is among six people proposed for honorary degrees from Iowa’s regent universities.

University and the University of Northern Iowa will go to the state
Board of Regents on Wednesday for approval.
