International Campaign

Dharamshala: The board members and staff
of International Campaign for Tibet (ICT), with offices in Washington
DC, Amsterdam, Berlin and Brussels, had their first board meeting during
their visit to Dharamsala from 31 October – 4 November 2010. The
delegation was headed by Kasur Lodi Gyari. This is the first formal
visit by the ICT board of directors, though ICT senior staffers
frequently visit to Dharamsala.During the course of their
meeting, the members met with all the important officials of the Central
Tibetan Administration, including Prof Samdhong Rinpoche, Kalon Tripa
and Mrs Dolma Gyari, Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.Yesterday,
the Kashag hosted a dinner reception and cultural show for the members
of ICT’s board and its staff at the Tibetan Institute of Performing
Arts.Today, Kalon Tripa participated in the discussion with
members of the board of ICT and its staff to discuss how the issue of
Tibet could be raised to the next level. They were briefed about the
activities of the Central Tibetan Administration.This afternoon,
the board members of ICT and its staff will have an audience with His
Holiness the Dalai Lama. Kalon Tripa, Prof Samdhong Rinpoche was present
at the audience.The ICT board and its staff visited Tibetan
cultural, educational and medical institutions in their constant effort
to understand the challenges of the Tibetan people and advance their
cause.
