Monks of Namgyal Monastery and officials of the Central Tibetan Administration recite the invocation of Palden Lhamo, the guardian deity of Tibet, during Tsetor ceremony at Tsuglagkhang in the early morning of the first day of Tibetan New Year, 19 February 2015.

Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay, the political leader of the Tibetan people, greeted Tibetans inside and outside Tibet on the Wood-Sheep New Year. Sikyong called on Tibetans to observe the cultural and religious traditions during the New Year celebrations and to remember all those Tibetans who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Tibet. He also called on Tibetans to follow the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and enhance the collective merit of the Tibetan people for the long life of His Holiness as he turns 80 this year.
