Frankfurt: A two-day training on the Middle Way Approach of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) was held in Germany from 17-18 March. A total of 30 Tibetan participants including executive members of German-Tibetan community and students participated in the interactive training.
Representative of Office of Tibet in Geneva, Ngodup Dorjee reiterated the CTA’s commitment to resolving the issue of Tibet through dialogue with the Chinese government.
Expressing his optimism and essence of having an “interactive, activity-based learning and discussion with regard to the relevance of the Middle Way Approach, representative Ngodup Dorjee remarked that the training is first of its kind in Europe. He emphasised that this training hoped to create champions of the Middle Way Approach, the official policy of the CTA.
Key facilitator for the training, Kalden Tsomo, head of the UN & Human Rights desk, DIIR said that the training was organized in an effort to disseminate better and deeper understanding of the Middle Way Approach.
Lobsang Phuntsok, President of German Tibetan Community expressed that such participatory oriented trainings serve a great deal in informing and educating the youth the about the strategic importance and relevance of the Middle Way Approach and assured that the community leadership will organise similar programs in coming years.
“I didn’t expect the the training would be this informative, interesting and interactive, I learnt a lot about CTA’s official policy and finding it deeply convincing and highly relevant in today’s global political diplomacy,” said Chemi, one of the participants.
The office of Tibet, Geneva organized the two-day training.
