Bylakuppe: A training on household listing survey for enumerators of Southern Tibetan settlements in India was held at the Organic Research and Training Center (ORTC), Bylakuppe, on 17 February 2024.
The inaugural ceremony of the training was attended by Joint Secretary Tsering Dorjee, Head of the Agriculture & Cooperative section (Department of Home), as the event’s chief guest, along with 29 trainees comprising 19 male and 10 female enumerators. The household registration officials are from the Chief Representative Office of South Zone; Doeguling Tibetan Settlement, Mundgod; Rabgyeling Tibetan Settlement, Hunsur; and Lugsam Tibetan Settlement, Bylakuppe.
Following the ceremonial lighting of the butter lamp and offering of a traditional Tibetan white scarf to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s portrait from the chief guest, a video clip of Home Secretary Palden Dhondup’s address regarding the household listing survey was presented to the participants of training.
The USAID funded the training and was facilitated by trainers Sandeep Ghosh and Badrinath Ganapathy.
